The Daybreak
Treatment Program

The Daybreak treatment program is designed for adults who have on-going mental and emotional disabilities. The Daybreak program assists severely mentally ill adults by offering them attractive, semi-independent,low cost housing in a supportive environment that accords them dignity and responsibility.

Program support services are provided by the Executive Director and Mental Health Technician Sunday through Friday. Staff members are on call 24 hours a day for emergencies. Medication monitoring and financial management are provided as required. The Director and Mental Health Technician are both professional, degreed social workers. Case management, treatment and crisis services are available to residents through other professionals, as desired.

Who May Apply?

To be considered for residency at Daybreak Apartments, an applicant must be:

  • 18 years or older

  • Seriously mentally ill as defined by the Alaska Division of Mental Health

  • Within the HUD income limits (verification required)

  • A non-abuser of drugs or alcohol

  • Willing to establish a treatment plan and work to accomplish specific goals

  • Determined not to be dangerous to self or others
