Shiloh Pastoral Care
All people encounter problems from time to time that hinder their spiritual, physical, mental or emotional growth. These problems
may result from crisis, unwise choices, improper childhood development, chemical imbalance, challenging situations (transition), or the result of spiritual discipline or testing. Whatever the cause, God calls the church to be an agent for
those going through a time of crisis and/or need.
The Shiloh Pastoral Care Ministries are the umbrella under which specialized care
ministries fall. In its simplest form, PCM's goal is to fulfill the church's mission of "Living the redeeming love of God to a lost, but changing world." by caring. The following ministries fall under the umbrella of the Pastoral Care Ministry:

This ministry provides immediate and ongoing support in connection with short term case management, spiritual counseling and/or crisis intervention to deal with the challenges members may face in transitioning from a crisis toward a more stable and whole living situation.

This ministry is designed to assist members during emergency or crisis situations that result in monetary or financial assistance. These types of crisis include: family illness, food, clothing, housing, death, and emergency childcare assistance. In order for members to become eligible for this type of assistance, a member must meet with their deacon or deaconess and the Benevolent Committee for an assessment of their situation.
This ministry is designed to care for those who are recovering from "unexpected" events in life such as, loss and/or grief, life transitions, illness, or long-term disability. This ministry creates a "circle of friends" for sharing and encouragement in which no one walks alone.
